This category of American Eagle Gold Coins, American Silver Eagle Coins, and Gold Buffalo Coins has become one of the hottest in US Coins. There are a few things to remember: Like all coins, moderns are graded on the Sheldon Scale which ranges from 1 to 70. However, since they typically go directly from their mint box to the graders, Modern Coins grade very high, usually higher than all but a small handful of early coins. There is something to be said for collecting something perfect or near-perfect, but you have to know what you are getting into.
